Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993, and the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who beginning the current science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in court situations. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of publications and many awards to her credit and is the recipient of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to child victimized by the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
